ModDomo is a dually abbreviated transliteration of Modern Domicile and Modify Domo(Japanese for Thank You). The latter abbreviation is a recognition of the influence that Japanese architecture has had on the modernist movement, myself included.

Through my company Alef Design Corp, the first ModDomo structure was a future take on the traditional longhouse which has spanned many cultures throughout history.

Starting here, we began the foray into the unique experience of living in a distinctly modern style home. In fact, this project has been a case study of various structural elements and space creation that flows through each and every project.
